Without cheesecake & chit-chat, I wouldn’t have landed here…

Long story, short.  Flashback to 1993 when I was both a waiter at a Cheesecake Factory in Washington, DC and a community college student.  On my way home from late night shifts, I’d tune to the recently launched all-sports radio station for some entertaining company. Listening to those folks, in that studio, having that much fun talking about  games was the ‘radioactive spider bite’ that forever changed this Peter Parker’s course.  I wanted to do what they were doing. So how do you get into the secured door on an office building in Rockville, Maryland? Food, silly. I bought and brought the CCF’s finest as a gift so I could observe, learn, question and forge relationships.  Fast forward to when a position became available. I jumped at the chance. I was lucky enough to grow and thrive at this radio station for the next 27 years. I’ve made lifelong friends along the way and worked nearly every job imaginable at national and local levels.  These experiences include: hosting, producing, reporting, editing, interviewing, networking, listening, and yes, telling countless hours of stories.

I’ve been fortunate enough to work and converse with some truly fantastic folks. That list, placed here, would be akin to sharing my vacation photos. Nobody needs to see my vacation photos. It would also be entirely too long and we’ve both got things to do. How about I just share some names?
